What is a CO-OP Shared Branch
CO-OP connected credit unions make banking easy with thousands of locations nationwide. With the CO-OP Shared Branch Network, members of one credit union can perform a range of transactions at any other participating credit union. This means Telco members can access their accounts at over 5,000 participating shared branches worldwide. Enjoy direct, surcharge-free access to your money, wherever you go. This eliminates the need to carry cash or search for an ATM while traveling or away from home. There is a $500 Shared Branching limit at all Telco Community Credit Union branches.
All Shared Branching users are required to preload their state-issued driver’s ID into IDCheck before using a participating Shared Branch location. Whether you're banking at Telco or visiting another participating credit union across the country, IDCheck is being implemented by ALL credit unions to add another layer of identity verification and security to protect your accounts.
Why IDCheck?
As digital banking grows, so do fraud threats. IDCheck helps protect your identity by verifying it before you make a transaction at a Shared Branch location. The system uses advanced AI, biometric technology, and real-time verification to keep your information safe and ensure only you can access your account.
If you plan to use a Shared Branch, IDCheck pre-verification will be required before your transaction can be processed.
To get started:
1. Visit verify.coop.org
2. Select Telco Community Credit Union from the dropdown
3. Enter your Member Number and the last four digits of your Social Security Number
4. Upload your state-issued ID (front and back)
5. Take a selfie for identity verification
6. Receive a verification code (valid for 20 minutes)
7. Present the verification code to the Teller to complete your transaction.
A member may pre-authenticate their identification before going into a branch to transact. They may also save their validation for future visits, further enhancing a streamlined process.
